What Is Swing Dancing?
Originating in African American communities during the 1920s – 1940s in the United States (most famously Harlem, New York), swing dancing encompasses a group of social dances including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Blues and Solo (Vernacular) Jazz.
